The E2 Military Exception, or the Ohio Home of Record exception, is for dependents of a person currently on active duty status in the United States military service while a resident of Ohio for all other legal purposes.

The E3 Military Exception is for dependents of a person who is on active duty status in the United States military service who is stationed and residing in Ohio.

The E8 Ohio National Guard exception is for a person who is a member of the Ohio National Guard, his or her spouse, or dependents while the person is in the Ohio National Guard service.
