Fall 2025 First-Year Experience UA Application

Welcome!

We're so glad you're interested in becoming an Undergraduate Associate (UA) for a First-Year Experience course (e.g., UNV 101, BUS 106) for the fall 2025 semester. Serving as a UA is a unique opportunity to engage with a faculty mentor, support new Miami students during their first year, learn more about Miami, and serve in a mentoring and community-building role that will positively impact new Miami students!

As participants in the UA program, students must work a minimum of 37.5 hours over the course of the fall 2025 semester assisting an instructor with the planning and implementation of a First-Year Experience (FYE) course. Students who serve as FYE UAs will earn one credit hour through the TCE 310: Applications of Peer Education course and a notation on their transcript (the position as a UA is not paid). Those returning to the UA position will have the opportunity to earn independent study credit and have the opportunity to serve as a mentor to new UAs.

To apply for the fall 2025 FYE UA position, please fill out the form below. First consideration for the UA position will be given to those who apply by Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 11:59 p.m., although applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until positions are filled.
